This is our story

SBN Dance School (formerly Salsa by Norika) was founded in 2000 by Norika Majidi, one of the pioneers of social dance in Slovakia. Her vision was to create a place where anyone could learn to dance regardless of prior experience. Over more than 25 years the school has grown into a strong dance community that has helped thousands of people discover the joy of salsa and bachata.

Today SBN brings together a team of 17 instructors and is based in its own dance club in Bratislava, with two dance floors and a bar. Every week we offer more than 35 salsa and bachata courses, host regular Friday parties and organise four major dance festivals throughout the year. Our goal is to create a place people keep coming back to — not just for the dancing, but for the atmosphere, the community and the shared experiences.
